abstract | A treatment apparatus for a wastewater containing ammonia including a pre-treatment unit, an acid/base supply unit, an oxidant injection unit, a catalyst reaction unit and a control unit is provided. The pre-treatment unit is connected with the oxidant injection unit. The oxidant injection unit connects with the acid/base supply unit. The catalyst reaction unit is connected with the oxidant injection unit. The control unit is connected with the oxidant injection unit, the acid/base supply unit and catalyst reaction unit. By the treatment apparatus, a catalytic oxidation process is conducted and ammonia and nitrate ion in water or wastewater are converted to N2 , which utilizes a catalyst and an oxidant. The pollution of NH3 in water and wastewater, as well as nitrate ions can be reduced. |
