The disclosure provides a binder for battery, a negative electrode of lithium ion battery and a lithium ion battery. The binder includes a polymer with both a hydrophilic unit and a hydrophobic unit; the medium and low molecular weight polymer accounts for less than 5 wt% of the total weight of the polymer, and an Mw of the medium and low molecular weight polymer is less than or equal to100,000. The binder of the disclosure has strong adhesive force, and the preparation method of the binder is simple and low cost. When the binder of the disclosure is used at 1.5 wt% to 2 wt%, it can not only show higher adhesion, but also increase the ratio of active materials, thereby increasing the energy density of the battery. |
