abstract The present invention relates to an electrode material, an electrode and a battery. The electrode material includes a carbon-containing core, a carbon layer and a plurality of silicon-containing particels. The carbon layer covers the carbon-containing core. The silicon-containing particles are embedded in the carbon layer and are dispersed over a surface of the carbon-containing core. The electrode material excludes a polymer material. Moreover, the electrode of the battery is made from the electrode nmaterial, and the electrode can improve capacitance, charging and discharging efficiency and cycle life of the battery.
