Embodiments disclose composition for use in wound healing and method of use therefor. An antioxidant compound is extracted from a fertilized fish egg, and the antioxidant activity of the compound is capable of quenching free radicals, suppressing cellular tyrosinase activity and increasing the secretion of collagen from skin fibroblasts, for skin lightening, anti-aging and wound healing effects. Thereby, the compound may be used for all-around skin repair and protection, as cosmetic ingredients and materials for dressing wounds. |
