abstract |
The present invention provides a radioactive microsphere comprising glass having the structure of formula Ca 3 Si 2 O 7 and yttrium oxide, wherein the sphericity of the radioactive microsphere is 0.71-1, wherein the radioactive microsphere become radioactive after being activated by neutrons to produce radiation simultaneously. The present invention also provides a method for preparing a radioactive microsphere and a radioactive filler composition. The present invention can be used to treat tumor by delivering radioactive microspheres to target tissue and then activating radioactive microspheres by neutrons to produce radiation. The radioactivity of microspheres disappears with time and microspheres are dissolved and absorbed by bone tissue finally. |
