abstract | A composition for pet food, including 5% by mass or more of fat, and a measured value (X) of the following deformation test is 0.5N or more at 25℃, and less than 0.1N at 60℃. Deformation test: a measurement object is placed on a flat plate, and a load is applied to a central portion of the measurement object from an upper side thereof using a plunger (having a cylindrical shape with a diameter of 15 mm and a thickness of 5 mm), and the stress is measured while advancing the plunger downwardly at a constant speed. The maximum value of the stress from when the plunger comes into contact with the measurement object until when the plunger advances 4 mm is measured. The measurement is repeatedly conducted with respect to 3 samples, and the average value of the maximum values is determined. The unit of the determined average value is converted to Newton (N), and defined as the measured value (X). |
