abstract | The invention provides a method for producing ethanolamine which can reduce the production ratio of dialkanolamine (for example: less than 30% by weight). The method for producing an alkanolamine of the present invention includes the steps of: reacting alkylene oxide with ammonia to obtain a reaction product containing monoalkanolamine, dialkanolamine, and trialkanolamine; and then from the above reaction product Separating the dialkanolamine; recovering at least a part of the dialkanolamine to the reaction of alkylene oxide and ammonia.
