The present invention relates to a stabilized inorganic oxide support for capturing carbon dioxide from a plurality of gases which, after multiple loops, still have a high regeneration capacity. The method for preparing a stabilized inorganic oxide support comprises stabilizing an alumina-containing precursor, impregnating an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal compound with a stabilized alumina-containing precursor, and drying an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal compound by dipping or steam heating. The alumina-containing precursor has been stabilized. The stabilized inorganic oxide support is capable of regeneration at lower temperatures (between 100 and 150 °C). The carbon dioxide adsorption capacity of the carrier after regeneration is between 70 and 90% of the theoretical carbon dioxide adsorption capacity. |
