The present invention provides a flame retardant composition containing 20 to 50 parts by mass of component (A): one or more melamine salts selected from the group of melamine orthophosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, and melamine polyphosphate, 50 to 80 (B) component by mass: selected from orthophosphate Pyrophosphate Polyphosphate 1 or more Piper in the group Salt (wherein the total of (A) component and (B) component is 100 parts by mass), 0.01 to 5.0 parts by mass of (C) ingredient: a silane coupling agent and 0.01 to 1.0 part by mass of (D) ingredient: General formula ( The aliphatic dicarboxylic acid ether ester compound represented by 1).
