abstract |
The present invention provides a hydrophilic polydiorganosiloxane vinyl cross-linking agent. The cross-linking agent comprises (1) a polydiorganosiloxane polymer chain, the polymer chain including dimethylsiloxane units. And hydrophilized siloxane units, each of which has a methyl substituent and a monovalent C 4 -C 40 organic group substituent having two to six hydroxyl groups, wherein The molar ratios of the hydrophilized siloxane units and the dimethyl siloxane units are from about 0.035 to about 0.15, and (2) both terminal (meth) acrylfluorenyl groups. The hydrophilized polydiorganosiloxane vinyl crosslinker has a number average molecular weight from about 3,000 channels to about 80,000 channels. The invention also relates to a silicone hydrogel contact lens comprising a repeating unit derived from the hydrophilized polydiorganosiloxane vinyl crosslinker of the invention. |
