The present invention provides a display device including an electrophoretic layer that can be operated using an electrode for displaying an image as an electrode for detecting an input position. The display device 1 includes a substrate 21, a substrate 31 disposed to face the substrate 21, an electrophoretic layer 5 sandwiched between the substrate 21 and the substrate 31, a plurality of pixel electrodes 22 disposed on the substrate 21, and a substrate 31 disposed on the substrate 31. A plurality of drive electrodes COML1. An electric field is formed between each of the plurality of pixel electrodes 22 and each of the plurality of drive electrodes COML1 to display an image, and the input position is detected based on the electrostatic capacitance of each of the plurality of drive electrodes COML1. |
