A polymethacrylate composition and an optical element formed by the same. AllnThe polymethacrylate composition includes 50 to 85 parts by weight of a methacrylate polymer and 15 to 50 parts by weight of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer. The methacrylate-based polymer includes a methacrylate-based monomer unit and an acrylate-based monomer unit. Based on the total weight of the styrenic-maleic anhydride copolymer, the styrenic-maleic anhydride copolymer includes 76.5% to 90% of styrenic monomer units and 10% to 23.5% of horses.
