titleOfInvention System and method for utilizing coherent regions in a wireless system
abstract The present invention describes a multi-user (MU) multi-antenna system (MAS) that uses coherence regions in a wireless channel to establish multiple non-interfering data streams to different users. In one embodiment, non-linear or linear precoding is used to create individual homology regions to different users. For example, the non-linear precoding may include dirty paper coding (DPC) or Tomlinson-Harashima precoding, and the linear precoding may include block diagonalization (BD) or forced Zero beamforming (ZF-BF). It is also possible to use limited feedback technology to send channel state information (CSI) from the plurality of users to the MU-MAS. In some embodiments, a codebook is built based on a basic function of the radiation field across a transmission array. In addition, when the wireless channel is changed due to the Doppler effect, the precoding can be continuously updated to establish a non-interfering coherence region to the users. In addition, the size of the equal tonal region can be dynamically adjusted according to the distribution of users.
