abstract The invention provides a sodium-containing iron-aluminum oxygen carrier and a method for producing the same, wherein the method comprises the steps of: plasma-treating seawater to separate chlorine in seawater to form a solid substance containing sodium oxide. The solid solution containing sodium oxide is placed in an aqueous solution to form an aqueous solution containing sodium hydroxide. Sodium in an aqueous solution containing sodium hydroxide is mixed with iron oxide and aluminum oxide to form a sodium-containing iron-aluminum carrier, wherein the sodium content is 1 to 3 based on the weight of the sodium-containing iron-aluminum carrier.
