| abstract | A pillow includes a pillow cushion consisting essentially of a gel elastomer, which is sized and configured to support a person's head and neck using the pillow cushion. The pillow pad includes a first major surface; a second major surface; and a deformable wall member extending between the first major surface and the second major surface. The deformable wall member is positioned and configured to define a gap therebetween, so that the deformable wall member can be moved into an adjacent gap according to the deformation of the deformable wall member. When the pressure applied to the cushion surface of the pillow pad in a direction perpendicular to the first main surface exceeds a critical pressure level, the deformable wall member is curved. A pillow case covers the pillow pad. A method of preparing a pillow includes closing the pillow cushion in a pillow case. |
