abstract |
An embodiment of the present invention provides a semiconductor display device capable of reducing power consumption. A semiconductor display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a pixel portion having a pixel; a driving circuit that controls writing of an image signal having image information to the pixel portion; a panel controller that controls the operation of the driving circuit; and an image memory that stores the image information A power supply controller that controls the supply of power supply voltage to various circuits in the semiconductor display device; and a CPU that controls the operation of the panel controller, the image memory, and the power supply controller. When a still image is displayed in the pixel portion, the driving circuit is stopped by stopping the supply of a power supply voltage to the driving circuit, and writing of an image signal to the pixel portion is stopped. After the driving circuit is stopped, the supply of the power supply voltage to the panel controller and the image memory is stopped, and the supply of the power supply voltage to the CPU is stopped. |
