abstract The present invention relates to a liquid crystal medium comprising component A consisting of one or more compounds of formula I, Each of the parameters has the respective meanings given in the scope of the patent application or the text, and relates to the corresponding novel liquid crystal original compound, and relates to its preparation. The invention also relates to the use of such liquid-crystalline media, particularly in high-frequency technical components, and to components of this type containing the media of the invention, and to the production and use of such components. The assembly of the present invention is particularly suitable for use as a phase shifter in microwave and millimeter wave regions, for microwave and millimeter wave array antennas, and is extremely suitable for use in so-called tunable "reflective arrays".
