Hydrogenation treatment catalyst composition containing heterocyclic polar compound, method for producing the catalyst, and method for using the same |
abstract |
The present invention provides a composition comprising a support material in which a metal component is incorporated and impregnated with an additive compound, the additive compound being selected from the group of heterocyclic polar compounds of the formula C x H n N y O z ; wherein: x is at least Is an integer of 3; y is 0, 1, 2 or 3; z is 0, 1, 2 or 3; and n is the number of hydrogen atoms required to fill the remaining bonds of the carbon atoms of the molecule. The composition includes the support material impregnated with the additive compound and can be used for the hydrogenation of hydrocarbon feedstocks, particularly for the denitrification and desulfurization of distillate feedstocks to produce very low sulfur diesel fuel. |
