abstract The present invention relates to hydrophobic cellulose fibers that are biodegradable, super soft, and water repellent. The non-woven fabric containing the cellulose fibers of the present invention also exhibits higher softness. These fibers add bulk, better drape ability, and hydrophobicity to the non-woven fabric. The non-woven fabric is biodegradable if it is made only of cellulose fibers.
