The substrate for a display device of the present invention includes: a transparent substrate 5; and a light-shielding peripheral portion 2 provided on the transparent substrate 5 and formed in a peripheral region 4 surrounding the display region 3 and containing carbon as a main color material; 1 a transparent resin layer 6 is formed on the transparent substrate 5 on which the peripheral edge portion 2 is formed; a black matrix BM is formed on the first transparent resin layer 6 and divides the display area 3 into a plurality of matrixes The opening contains an organic pigment as a main color material; and a second transparent resin layer 7 is formed on the first transparent resin layer 6 on which the black matrix BM is formed. |
