abstract | The invention provides a method for synthesizing FMD peptide immunogen and its composition, and a method for detecting, treating and inhibiting FMD infection by using FMD peptide immunogen. In a specific embodiment, the present invention provides a peptide emergency vaccine for foot-and-mouth disease and a formulation thereof. The vaccine formulation of the present invention contains a mixture of FMDV VP1 protein peptides, and each peptide containing a B-cell FMDV neutralization / receptor binding epitope sequence is linked to an artificial Th epitope to promote the immunogen of each peptide. The vaccine formulation of the present invention contains a viral immunogen, and can optionally be supplemented with a mixture, homologues and functional analogues thereof having endogenous Th epitopes of FMDV. The viral peptide composition of the present invention can be made into a vaccine formula with an acceptable delivery system, which can protect pigs and cattle from FMDV attack with only one inoculation. |
