abstract |
The present invention provides a crosslinked composition comprising a crosslinking compound and a crosslinking reaction additive selected from the group consisting of organic acid and/or acetate compounds, wherein the crosslinking compound has a structure according to formula (IV): n n n Wherein the crosslinking reaction additive is capable of reacting with the crosslinking compound to form a reactive oligomer intermediate capable of crosslinking the organic polymer. Also included is an organic polymer composition suitable for forming a crosslinked organic polymer comprising a crosslinking compound of the formula (IV), a crosslinking reaction additive, andnOne less organic polymer. In one embodiment, the at least one organic polymer has at least one halogen-containing reactive group and is dehalogenated by reaction with an alkali metal compound. Also included are methods for making such compositions, and articles formed from such methods and organic polymer compositions, wherein the compositions and methods control the rate of crosslinking reaction of cross-linking compounds suitable for crosslinking organic polymers . |
