titleOfInvention | Diamond nucleation method |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method of diamond nucleation, including: providing a gas mixture, which includes a noble gas and a carbon-containing gas, in a reaction chamber; and forming a plasma in the reaction chamber to react the carbon-containing gas into a plurality of nuclei on an unseeded substrate without externally applied bias voltage. The plasma does not contact with the substrate. Accordingly, the present invention can achieve direct nucleation on a non-diamond substrate for subsequent diamond growth. |
