A titanium dioxide pigment, characterized in that it comprises anatase-type crystals in the range of 98 to 100%, has an average particle diameter in the range of 0.2 to 0.4 mum and has a whiteness degree in the range of 95 to 97 in terms of L value of the linseed oil color. The pigment has characteristics specific to anatase-type, for example, optical characteristics such as bluish color tone and physical characteristics such as low hardness, and also enhanced hiding property which the conventional anatase-type titanium dioxide pigments do not exhibit. |
