abstract The invented first lubricating oil has an S content of <=3 mass% and a viscosity of 5x10<-4> to 1x10<-3> m<2>/s (400 to 1,000 cSt) and the second lubricating oil has an S content of 10-30 mass% and a viscosity of 5x10<-5> to 2x10<-4> m<2>/s (50 to 200 cSt). The lubrication film made from the invented two kinds of lubricating oils can ensure lubrication performance during cold-drawing and reduce annealing sludge to be below 3 g/m<2>. Therefore, the most adequate cold-drawn steel tube for use as various mechanical structure parts in automotive industry can be obtained.
