abstract |
Conventional method of providing a display with photosensors is to assemble a separate module manufactured in a different process to the same frame. This method, however, can neither reduce the number of part items and the cost, nor realize the reduction of size and thickness. This invention realizes the photosensors with TFTs provided on an insulating substrate. The TFT is used as a photosensor by detecting a photocurrent generated due to the incidence of external light when it is turned off. Only a portion of a semiconductor layer for photosensor accepts two times of laser annealing so that the average crystal particle size thereof is greater than that of another portion of the semiconductor layer for display part or light-emitting element, so as to improve the crystal characteristics. Accordingly, the generating efficiency of photocurrent of the photosensors can be improved. |
