titleOfInvention Coriolis method and device for the control of polymer production
abstract The invention relates to a method for the production of a polymer from a polymer melt as well as a control system, by which at least one reactor system of a plant for the production of a polymer from a polymer melt can be controlled. The polymer melt is passed through a plant volume and runs through at least one reactor system in which a reaction is running which is defined by state variables. In the plant volume, a state variable of the polymer melt is determined by a measurement system, and the reaction parameters of the reactor system are controlled in dependence of this characteristic quantity. It has been surprisingly found that a particularly accurate and robust control is achieved if the Coriolis force acquired by a Coriolis force sensor (19-22) is used as the state variable of the polymer melt. The reactor systems (5, 7-10, 13, 15) are controlled by a control system (25) in dependence of the measured Coriolis force.
