titleOfInvention Electro-optical device and electronic apparatus
abstract The object of the present invention is to provide an electro-optical device for drying droplets filled in a droplet discharge region surrounded by a barrier component to uniformly make the thickness of a thin film. The solution of the present invention is an electro-optical device comprising a first barrier component 43 having lyophilic property and separating each region to form a plurality of regions on a substrate 10, a second barrier component 44 having liquid repellence and forming on a surface of the periphery surrounded by the first barrier component 43, a functional layer 45 including at least one light-emitting layer formed in a region surrounded by the barrier component, and a pair of electrodes 41, 46 for covering the functional layer 45; and characterized in that the thickness of the first barrier component 43 is sufficient as compared with the functional layer 45, and an inclination angle of the first barrier component 43 is smaller than an inclination angle of the second barrier component 44.
