abstract | The invention relates to a process for producing a trivalent hexadentate ortho-metaliated iridium complex with an iridium compound and a coordination compound as starting materials, which is characterized in that a monovalent iridium dinuclear complex represented by the following formula (I) is used: (wherein A represents a non-conjugated diene compound; and X represents a halogen atom). According to the invention, it is possible to carry out the successive reactions in the same reaction vessel (i.e., one-pot reaction) by using the complex produced in the above process in the next step without isolation and purification. |
