abstract The present invention relates to a data accessing system and its method, which use the connecting interface of a transmission line like universal serial bus (USB) to connect two electronic devices. By enabling the connection between the two electronic devices and the mutual access of data in the storage area, the purpose of data sharing can be achieved. On the electronic devices, at least one USB connection port is disposed so as to connect the two electronic devices electrically through the connecting interface and the USB connection port. In addition, the electronic devices have a working mode setting module for users to set the working mode of the USB connection port. The setting of the USB connection port working mode comprises at least performing the connection service setting of the common USB connection port and opening the access service setting of the data storage area of the electronic device, so as to control the service content of the USB connection port provided to another electronic device according to the setting of the working mode by the electronic device host when the two electronic devices are electrically connected.
