abstract | A method for producing a resin matrix composite material containing vapor-grown carbon fibers (VGCF) with 3-D linkaged structure is disclosed. Firstly, an amount of VGCF with 3-D linkaged structure is directly-grown by a fluidized bed process, and dispersed in a liquid organic solvent by shaking or agitation. Then, thermosetting resins and curing agents are added and fully dissolved under continuous shaking or agitation to form a vanish containing VGCF suspension. Thereafter, a piece of fiber cloth is impregnated with the vanish and taken out for drying to prepare a prepreg, which undergoes curing process to form the high performance resin matrix composite material of the present invention. |
