titleOfInvention Method for manufacturing a light deflect/color change lens from polycarbonate and other plastic materials
abstract A method for manufacturing the finished or semifinished product of transparent lenses made of polycarbonate is disclosed. First, electricity is introduced to process the surface of a lens to modify the character of the adhesion of the lens. Electric charges are spread on the surface of a PVA polarizing film by a special method to form a PVA film card made of a PVA film. Enough glue is spread between the PVA film card and the polycarbonate lens, and a photochemical technique is performed to make the PVA film card and the polycarbonate lens become one piece lens, and the lens becomes a back mold arranged in front of a glass mold II. A substance is poured between the two molds and is homogeneously heated to form a solid lens. A hard coating layer is coated on the concave and convex surface of the polycarbonate (light deflect/color change) lens. The method is specially for casting a polycarbonate lens having unique characters that are restricted by using an injection molding method whose processing temperature is high and the chemical ingredient is not flexible.
