abstract | There is described a molluscicidal composition which is suitable, in particular, for controlling aquatic snails and slugs, for example in fishponds or paddy fields. The composition is composed of a granular carrier material of high density such as, for example, sand or ground limestone, and a coating applied thereto which comprises metaldehyde as active substance and at least one binder. The composition can be produced by coating in customary granulating or pelletizing devices and rapidly settles to the bottom when applied to a water surface. |
