abstract The present invention provides a method for controlling growth of mushroom with low energy lighting, which illuminates cultivated mushroom with low energy lighting of 0.2-3 watts every meter square and 500-900 nanometer wavelength. The low energy lighting is effected in fixed illumination period to control the growth of the mushrooms in order to obtain mushrooms of consistent quality with reduced costs and environmental contamination.
