titleOfInvention Method of forming an antifouling coating film, and antifouling product with the antifouling coating film
abstract This invention provides for a method of forming an antifouling coating film on a surface of an article whose surface is made of plastic or rubber. In the process of this invention, a dry process is carried out on the surface, in order to chemically introduce hydrophilic groups to the surface, and then an aqueous coating containing a photo catalyst and titanium peroxide is applied to the surface. The dry treatment is preferably plasma discharge treatment, corona discharge treatment, or ultraviolet irradiated treatment. The invention also provides an antifouling product produced by the process of this invention.
