Method for reducing an oxygen component and carbon component in fluoride |
abstract |
To provide a method for reducing oxygen and carbon components in high-purity fluoride such as calcium fluoride, barium fluoride (not limited thereto), or in rare-earth fluoride such as ytterbium fluoride and cerium fluoride used for an optical fiber, a coating material and so on. It is characterized that the oxygen and carbon components contained in high purity fluoride are reduced by a fluorine gas treatment. |
