titleOfInvention Earthquake resistant student desk
abstract The present invention relates to an earthquake resistant student desk, which comprises: a desk plate; a pair of desk legs formed by bending metal pipes to have leg parts with substantially reverse-U shaped sides and installed at two sides below the desk plate; top linking member fixed to the top of the pair of desk legs; protection metal plates installed at the circumference of the upper sides of the pair of desk legs excepting for the front side by directly soldering to the leg parts, the protection metal plate having plural through holes; front and back linking members fixed between the bottoms of the leg parts of the left and right desk legs to prevent a top pressure from stretching the leg parts toward front and back directions; a lower linking member fixed between the bottoms of the left and right leg parts or between the front and back linking members to prevent a top pressure from stretching the leg parts of the left and right desk legs toward front and back directions; a rack installed between the left and right desk legs below the desk plate for allowing students to place objects therein; a holding means or handle installed between the leg parts of the left and right desk legs below the rack for being hold by a person taking refuge; and rolling wheels or wheel axles installed at the back sides of the bottoms of the left and right leg parts for contacting with the ground when the student desk tilts, thereby greatly increasing the anti-pressure and anti-smash strengths of the student desk, and ensuring the safety of the student by using the handle to prevent a severe earthquake from shocking the student desk away from the student. Furthermore, the protection metal plate is used to block falling external objects, so as to prevent the student from being injured, and the rolling wheels are used to enable the student desk to be slid directly without being moved so as not to scratch the floor.
