titleOfInvention | Hard disk having a confidential security function and method for keeping the information confidential |
abstract | The invention provides a hard disk having a confidential security function and a method for keeping the information confidential. The password data and process or device for checking and booting are configured in the hard disk. When the hard disk is removed from the computer system originally operated therewith, the computer system will not be able to read information from this hard disk again even the hard disk is re-connected thereto. If the computer system intends to read the hard-disk again, the hard-disk will require the system to input a series of identification codes, and the hard disk will map these codes with its internal password data. If these codes are confirmed correctly, the hard disk will permit the computer system to read the information from this hard disk. |
