abstract A fluorescent material of terbium aluminum garnet has the following formula: (Tb3-x-yCexRey)(Al5-zO12Mez,) wherein, 0 < x <= 0.8, 0 < y <= 2.0, 0 < z <= 1.0, Re is preferably Gd, but can be also selected from the group of Rb, Tm, Pr, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, Lu, Sr, Y, V, Cr, and mixture thereof, and Me is Si. A blue LED, an exciting light source, can generate an exciting light to excite the fluorescent material to emit an excited light so that the excited light and the exciting light may be mixed to generate a high-brightness white light. In addition, the fluorescent material can be selectively manufactured by a solid reaction method, a combustion method, and a synchronous precipitation method.
