titleOfInvention | Method for processing and recycling heavy metals by means of synthesized rice husk xanthate |
abstract | This invention provides a method for processing recycled heavy metals by means of synthesized rice husk xanthate, where rice husk of agricultural waste is subject to xanthation and cross-linking reactions, so as functional groups of sulfur are implanted to the rice husk surfaces to synthesize rice husk xanthate. The functional groups of sulfur implanted to the rice husk surfaces are then used to remove heavy metals (such as copper) in wastewater. Since the rice husk as used is agricultural waste, the feature of this invention is to convert waste into a useful material so as to recycle and to regenerate resources, to be categorized as a ""green product."" Further, since the material as used is rice husk waste, it is of a low cost. The rice husk xanthate is of a large grain so as to allow easy separation of the rice husk xanthate from the waste water. Furthermore, after the heavy metals in the waste water react with the rice husk xanthate, the heavy metal in the wastewater will be condensed to the rice husk xanthate, where such heavy metal can be further recycled by means of dry metallurgy to recycle the condensed heavy metal. |
