Integrated technology in sequential treatment of organics and heavy metal ions wastewater |
abstract |
This invention offers an integrated technology in sequential treatment of wastewater. Low biodegradable organics and heavy metal ions are both contained in wastewater from surface treatment process. The aim of the invention is to find the solution for treatment of organics and heavy metal ions in complicated wastewater that contains organics and heavy metal ions biodegradable organics are oxidized by Fenton process with pH 2 to 5 and temperature 20 to 100 DEG C. Heavy metal ions are then treated by ferrite process with pH 8 to 12 and temperature 50 to 100 DEG C. The integrated technology of Fenton process and ferrite process (2FP) is advantageous to treat the wastewater from surface treatment process, decrease the production of iron sludge caused by Fenton sludge caused by Fenton process and increase the quality of ferrite product. |
