To provide a gas separation method for separating a first gas component and a second gas component from a mixed gas including a plurality of gas components using a pressure swing adsorption method. By using the gas separation method, it becomes possible to efficiently recover the first and the second gas components with low costs. In the gas separation method, a first adsorption tower including a first adsorbent which hardly adsorbs the first gas component but readily adsorbs the second gas component, and a second adsorption tower including a second adsorbent which readily adsorbs the first gas component but hardly adsorbs the second gas component are used, and a decompression-equalizing process and a compression-equalizing process by which the pressure of the first adsorption tower and that of the second adsorption tower are equalized are carried out. |
