abstract The present invention relates to a UV-curable resin for powder coating, particularly a highly branched unsaturated polyester, which has a polymer structure having an unsaturated double bond on the chain's end or the outermost layer of its 3D molecule; such a resin can form a sufficient cross-linking density upon short exposure to a UV light to produce a better coating; the invented resin is suitable for a UV hardening treatment and is easy to make with reduced process power consumption and process time; thus reducing the production cost and pollution.
