abstract |
A method for producing a polybenzoxazole (PBO)/clay nanocomposite comprises using an organic amine and Sodium Montmorillonite clay to perform an ion exchange reaction in order to form a swelled organic clay; using isophthaloyl chloride and 2,2-bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl) hexafluoropropane (BisAPAF) to perform a low temperature polycondensation reaction in order to synthesize a soluble precursor - polyhydroxyamide (PHA) for PBO; mixing organic clay and the PBO precursor at a different ratio to perform cyclization under high temperature heating, thereby producing a PBO/clay nanocomposite. |
