titleOfInvention | Method of polymerizing rubber-modified polystyrenic resin |
abstract | This invention provides a method of polymerizing rubber-modified polystyrenic resin, characterized in that it reduces yellow index and effectively maintains impact strength, flowability of the resin and the like by adding 5 to 2000 ppm of rosin acid before conversion of monomer reaches 30%. The main monomers of the polymerization are styrenic monomers. Other copolymerizable monomers can be added into the polymerization of the resin if necessary. The present invention utilizes thermal polymerization or catalytic polymerization. The purpose of the invention can be reached by controlling the polymeric temperature of individual reactor, arranging a reasonable polymeric conversion distribution, adding additives such as chain-transfer agents and antioxidants to make the resin have better physical properties. |
