abstract |
A biaxially oriented laminated polyester film which has excellent winding properties and processability through the flattening of the flat side and can exhibit excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics when a magnetic recording medium, particularly a metal coated high recording density magnetic recording medium is formed therefrom, and magnetic recording medium. This biaxially oriented laminated polyester film has a first polyester layer containing an ester compound of an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having 12 or more carbon atoms and a polyhydric alcohol and three types of inert particles which differ from one another in average particle diameter on one side of a second polyester layer and has one of Young's moduli in lengthwise and crosswise directions of 6 GPa or more and the other Young's modulus of 4 GPa or more. |
