titleOfInvention | Polytrimethyleneterephthalate modified cross section yarn |
abstract | This invention provides a trilobal yarn and a method of producing the same. The trilobal yarn of this invention is characterized in that the yarn is composed of polytrimethyleneterephthalate comprising more than 95 mol% of trimethyleneterephthalate repeating unit and less than 5 mol% of the other ester repeating unit, and intrinsic viscosity of the polymer is 0.7 to 1.3 dl/g, and the periphery line of the trilobal cross section comprises a convex curved line or both a convex curved line and a straight line to an outer side direction of the cross section. This invention made it possible for the first time in the world to produce an industrial polytrimethyleneterephthalate trilobal yarn suitable for apparel so that the yarn is able to be continuously spun for a long time without causing adhesion of polymer scum to a spinning nozzle resulting in yarn breaking or fluff. |
