A liquid chromatography apparatus and a packing material for the chromatographic column have an efficient condensing effect and a fine separating ability for a cationic sample to be measured. The liquid chromatography apparatus has a structure in which the sample in solvent is fed into and condensed in the condensing chromatographic column 30, 40 which includes a column body less than 2.0 milliliter in volume and the packing material packed into the column body which comprises a porous carrier coated with silicone polymer having the Si-R-X bond (R is a part of spacer, and X is sulfonic group) and the Si-R' bond (R' is the hydrophilic group), and the resultant sample is fed into and separated in another separating column 16, 43 which can separate the specimen contaminated in solvent, and the resultant sample is fed to and analyzed by the detector 17, 41. |
