abstract |
A process for preparing a green pigment composition which comprises subjecting a mixture of a halogen-free blue pigment material and a halogen-free yellow pigment material to size reduction; the size reduction desirably comprises (1) kneading the pigment mixture in the presence of a grinding medium or (2) dissolving the said blue pigment material and yellow pigment material in a strong acid to obtain a solution and injecting the solution into water to recover the pigment materials as a precipitate. This process provides a high-quality pigment composition which has a green hue completely free from the problem of shading into white and contains sufficient light resistance and heat resistance. The pigment composition obtained is highly suitable for use in the coloring of plastics required to be processed at a high temperature, and is highly safe and hygienic and does not lead to an environmental problem. |
