abstract |
This invention discloses a polyelectrolyte which comprises a syndiotactic polystyrene and has an ion-exchanging ability; a polyelectrolyte film obtained by forming the polyelectrolyte into a film; and a fuel cell containing the polyelectrolyte film fitted thereto. The polyelectrolyte is suitable for use not only in fuel cells but in other applications including the manufacture of common salt from seawater and acid recovery from liquid wastes. It has long-term stability and is inexpensive. |
